Police arrest Mabaati thieves

The Drone Media has been reliably informed that President Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Museveni Kaguta while chairing the Cabinet Meeting decreed that the iron sheets (mabaati) thieves be arrested.

According to a source who evesdropped the meeting, the president did not mince his word, he repeatedly decreed that thieves should be arrested and tried in court.

It is not surprising that today, Hon Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda said,  “Madam Speaker, yesterday the leader of gov’t business was missing, even today she’s missing. I want to find out if she has already been arrested because she took 3000 iron sheets or if she is writing a statement to the police.- ”

Hon. Ssemujju Nganda Ibrahim has a point, whoever was involved in the diversion of mabaati is a suspect. They are supposed to be out on police bond.

It is surprising how the Speaker of Parliament is covering up this shameful act of stealing iron sheets.  Today, the Speaker  said she has purchased 500 iron sheets to be returned to the office of the Prime Minister. Mbu she does not want to be accused of grabbing iron sheets meant for the vulnerable people of Karamoja.

Parliament Watch reported

Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda is one Ugandan journalist,l egislator and politician you will  admire and respect.  For he is brave and candid and stands by his word. He also carries with him a photographic memory. He often has a calm demeanor even when inside a storm he has started!  Think about his point above. The Leader of Government Business is missing, one once, but twice; I meant two days!  Yet, there is a decree.

Meanwhile, the police is at crossroads, they do not know whether to implement the decree, but again the officials involved are bone marrow of the ruling government.  Ugandans are waiting for arrests. If this is done, some hope will be retained.
