VALUE OF MERCEDES BENZ WAS INFLATED BY BP £ 160.000
The sacking of the contracts committee paved way for inflation of the price of the Benz from British pound 100,000 to British pound £ 260,000 . In the entire transaction, the Purchaser made a kill of BP £160.000 per vehicle.
SPEAR MOTORS REFUSES TO ISSUE FAKE INVOICE TO PARLIAMENT
In pursuit of the deal, the purchaser reportedly approached Spear Motors to issue a fake invoice indicating the preferred value and specifications of the car, to which the reknown Mercedes Benz dealer declined. Having failed to get a fake invoice from Spear Motors, the purchaser flew to Dubai and contacted dealers, who issued a fake invoice of the car.
PURCHASER CONTACTS CAR THIEVES IN THE UK
While in Dubai, the purchaser was put in contact with car jerkers based in the UK. This is the racket of Nigerians and Ugandans who steal top of the range vehicles and sell them cheaply to different parts of the world. Interpol has many times come to Uganda to recover stolen vehicles from the UK. The Mercedes Benz in question is now subject of investigations by Interpol on suspicion of being stolen from the UK.
MERCEDES BENZ IS 2021 MODEL NOT 2022 MODEL
It has been established that the subject Mercedes Benz is of model 2021 and not 2022 as presented. The misrepresentation of the specifications is aimed at justifying the purchase price of £ 260.000.
THE MERCEDES BENZ IN QUESTION CAN ONLY BE SERVICED IN DUBAI
MPs have raised issues on findings so far that the official Mercedes Benz has no warranty, neither can it be serviced by Spear Motors. In the event its service falls due, it will have to be airlifted to Dubai. All brand new vehicles come with a 3 year warranty, which is not the case with the new parliament Benz. This further raises fears that the car could have been stolen.
