MAKINDYE BAR FIGHT RESULTS INTO DEATH

The Makindye bar fight has resulted into  death. The Uganda Police Force (UPF) has confirmed the death of Bright Musisi and that two people, have so far been arrested.

“Two people have been arrested in connection to a bar fight that ended a life this morning. The suspects have been identified as Henry Kalanzi and Nicholas Kirumira.

Deputy KMP spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire confirmed arrest. He said the trio were involved in a bar fight that left Bright Musisi seriously injured.

Musisi, Owoyesigyire said was pronounced dead on arrival at Malcom Clinic.

“It’s alleged that today in the morning , a fight erupted among the three which led to Musisi being fatally injured by the duo and later led to his death. The suspects later ran away until they were arrested this afternoon from Makindye-Kironde Zone,” Owoyesigyire said.

Charges of murder have been preferred against the pair vide SD 04/14/04/2019 Of Katwe Police Station.

It should be noted that this is another fatal fight claiming death of a Makindye resident.  Mowzey  Radio, real name Moses Ssekibogo, died just hours after Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni donated $8,300 (£5,800) towards his medical bills.

The Afrobeats star was being treated in hospital for head injuries he sustained in the alleged brawl 10 days ago.

Five people were arrested in connection with the incident.

According to media reports, the singer was allegedly beaten into a coma at a popular hang out spot in Entebbe town, south of the capital Kampala.

He had been in hospital ever since, although his management had stressed his condition was improving.

However, at 06:00 local time (03:00 GMT) on Thursday, February 1rst, 2018, the singer, who made up one half of duo Radio & Weasel, lost his fight for life.

Within hours of his death, the announcement had thousands of responses from people paying their respects to the musician, while photos show a large group of mourners gathering outside the Kampala hospital where he died.
