Esther Namaganda is a Uganda Police Traffic Officer at a rank of sergeant deployed along Kampala Jinja highway in the areas around Banda, Bweyogere and Seeta in Mukono.
Her name has continued to ascend in the public in a controversial way as at most times she has always acted like a political extremist who normally aim at seeking cheap esteem and public compassion.

Sources close to the female sergeant have indicated that she is well known for indiscipline offenses of attacking her supervisors and that she has always vowed not to respect them and other influential people/ leaders especially the bush war fighters/Generals.

Despite the recent scuffle that involved Namaganda and Uganda’s Ambassador to Burundi Maj Gen Matayo Kyaligonza and his escorts that happened on 24th February 2019, its on record that the vibrant sergeant has ever stopped District Internal Security Officer for Mukono while on a serious operation besides him fully identifying himself to her.

Maj Gen Matayo Kyaligonza’s driver had attempted to make a U-turn to escape a chaotic scene after a motor accident at Seeta trading centre in Mukono district. Kyaligonza’s guards went out of the car to ask the police officer Namaganda about what had happened since people were fighting in the middle of the road; but instead the female police officer battered them when they pleaded with her to allow them escape the chaotic scene.

Sgt Esther Namaganda has always acted below the standards of operating procedures by not respecting her seniors yet it is crucial in the Armed Forces. And this really makes her an insolent officer.

Some people have done a lot for this country and need to be appreciated. Most of these bush war Generals sacrificed a lot for Uganda to be where it is now and officers like Namaganda should at time consider the aspect of security of Gender for such people.

Unless she is promoting and exercising subversive tendencies, she should stop acting as a saboteur of security.
