Medical Professionals riot over Middle East Consultants

Early last year; in February, 2018; news was all over and was broadcast on the 26th/02/2018 on a number Media Houses; social media, coupled with threats by medical professionals, who had been conned.

The nurses/medical professionals had been lured into recruitment to work in Benghazi-Libya. Middle East Consultants  had collected money from these gullible medical professionals; promising heaven on earth, jobs in Benghazi Hospital.

However, (9) nine months down the road, Middle East Consultants was playing “hide and seek.” Middle East Consultants agreed that the company got a job order in May, 2017; to supply over 1,000 medical professionals (nurses and doctors) to work in Benghazi Medical Centre in Libya.

In a twist of events, Middle East Consultants, claims that they submitted the employment order to the Ministry of Labour, Gender and Social Development for approval.  According to Middle East Consultants, the employment order was approved on 17th, May 2017 by the ministry.

This is a lie; The Drone Media can ask, “If it so, why are other job orders not approved by the ministry? In October, 2018, The Drone Media while investigating the fraud at Middle East Consultants; brought job order to supply 20 helpers to Transguard in Dubai. It was never approved. Discover their lies. The medical professionals were cheated.

As usual, Middle East Consultants advertised for interview for medical professionals for 6 days and the company claims only 360 young Ugandans were were recruited for the above mentioned jobs.

However, the number of clients who attended the interview was more than 360; as it their habit and trick they got more people who paid for interview but did not pass.

In a clarification run in The New Vision 6th March, 2018, Middle East Consultants stated that each each candidate was required to pay a total of two hundred ten thousand shillings only (shs210,000) one hundred sixty thousand shillings (shs160,000) being for clients medical check ups and fifty thousand shillings (shs50,000) non refundable for the file as required by law.
