Kabalagala fatal accident leaves locals worried

The accident involved motor vehicle registration number UBG 811C (Mercedes Benz). It is alleged that driver (yet to be identified) who died on spot. The deceased was driving from Gabba side heading to Kampala on a high speed, but failed to negotiate the corner at Kabalagala Police Station, lost control, hit parked vehicles at the Station, killing him instantly and seriously injuring the co-driver.

The body of the of the deceased was conveyed to Mulago city mortuary for postmortem examination while the injured victim is admitted at Nsambya Hospital for treatment.

It should be remembered that this is the same spot, where  Prof. Baryamureeba knocked a person dead and the Kabalagala Police Station carried on  investigations of the  fatal accident.

It was a Mercedes Benz vehicle registration number “U” that was being driven by Prof. Venansius Baryamureeba that allegedly knocked two female pedestrians and a perimeter wall, killing one person on the spot.

The accident occurred at approximately 1:00 pm on Wednesday at the Kibuli – Muyenga junction, Makindye division in Kampala.

The deceased was identified as Mariam Jagenda and her body was taken to Mulago City Mortuary for postmortem. Details of today’s accident are coming
