UHRC summons Kiiza Besigye after seven years
Can you imagine! Uganda Human Rights Commission (UHRC) has summoned Col (Rtd) Dr. Kiiza Besigye Kifefe after seven (7) years since he lodged his complaint!
Seven years after Col Dr Kiiza Besigye Kifefe lodged a complaint to the UHRC, which followed police violently invading FDC Hgs & detaining the party leadership plus Col Kiiza Besigye, the then presidential candidate, he has now received a hearing notice!
“How does one respond to this?” Besiigye wondered.
The summons and hearing notice reads, under rules 14 & 31 of the Uganda Human Rights Commission (P) Rules, 1998 )

Whereas your attendance is required as a complaint into the above claim, you are by this summon required to appear for first hearing at UHRC Head Office situated at Runce Towers, plot 19, Lumumba Avenue, Kampala on the 22nd day of May 2023 at 9:00am in the forenoon/afternoon. Remember to carry with you any relevant documents.
If no appearance is made by you or by a person authorised by law to act for you, the case may be heard and decided in your absence.
