Who killed Mukajanga?

A famous Charismatic preacher J.B. Mukajanga died five years ago to be exact in July 2016 under mysterious circumstances. Followers of Mt. Zion Prayer Centre in Bukalango, Wakiso district woke up to the rude shock as local reports revealed the passing of the popular preacher.

Late Mukajanga who was known for his healing ministry at Bukalango was in March that year (2016) suspended from the Catholic Church. He set up his ministry at Jemba Jemba Plaza in Kampala, where he continued with his preaching work.

Mukajanga whose body was  delayed in Mulago Hospital, reportedly got an attack in the wee hours of the morning. He called for help from his house mates as he was suffering from too much of pain. At 5am, he reportedly passed on. The cause of his death was suspected to be poisoning.

Although he was not a Roman Catholic priest at the time of his death, Mukajanga had been conducting prayers with Msgr. Expedito Magembe at Mt. Zion Bukalango Prayer Centre located off Hoima Road in Wakiso district.

The Prayer Centre announced his death on their Facebook page that morning. Though his mode of prayer was akin to Pentecostals, he preached holding a crucifix, a symbol of the Catholic Church and by the time of his death, he had been suspended from the church by Archbishop of Kampala, Late Cyprian Kizito Lwanga.

He also held lunch hour prayers under his JB Mukajanga Fire Ministries at JB Plaza building located at Luwum Street.
