woman dies at Christian life Church

Police in Kampala are investigating circumstances under which a patient died at Christian Life Church ministries

The church is located at Makerere III parish on bombo road near bwaise Town in Kawempe South division.

According to the assistant Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson ASP Luke Owesigire, the death happened at the ministry on Wednesday 9th, February, 2023 at around 4:00pm

“It is alleged that Najjuma Rossete, 59 yrs died at the place and was a resident of Kisoga in Mukono district,” he said in a brief statement

Owesigire said that the deceased was forced to come for prayers at Christian Life Church because doctors at Mulago hospital failed to find out the cause of her sickness

“She had been receiving treatment at Mulago for the last three years. Despite undergoing several medical tests, no disease was discovered in her body,” he said

Owesigire said that she passed away at exactly 4pm during the daily prayer service

The body of the deceased was taken to Mulago City Mortuary for postmortem to find out the real cause of her sudden death

This is not the first case to be reported because a similar incident happened at the church in 2017 when a woman

 

Identified as Fedri Kyesimire 37 collapsed and died on spot during an overnight prayer

It was alleged that the deceased had stayed at Senyonga’s Christian Life Church in Bwaise for more than a week, praying for deliverance and good life.

According to Kyesimire’s sister Jennifer Arinaitwe, they came from Isingiro district to attend Pastor Senyonga’s P5 services after watching his advert on TV claiming that he can heal the lost and suffering souls.

The deceased has been married with five children.

The death was confirmed by the former Wandegeya police Division Commander Joseph Nsabimana who opened up a case file SD 02/22/07/2017 to investigate the real cause of Kyesimire’s death.
