Kampala City Socialite SK Mbuga is in Dubai jail crying

Contrary to circulating rumor that SK Mbuga is out of jail, the troubled tycoon is still unlawfully under confinement in Dubai where he has been since his arrest in Jan this year.

Mbuga has been detained without trial for over 9 months which is a violation of his human rights. He has therefore appealed to the international human right movement to save the situation.

According to reliable sources, Mbuga was put in a jail with convicts on life sentence yet he has not been tried. He says some of these convicts are even using pyschiatric medication which puts his life in danger. He has never been tried not even produced before a magistrate for any mention.

Ugandan government officials who have visited him tend to be helpful but it seems there is an invisible hand hindering them from doing further follow up. ”No one is open to me” he says. And surprisingly they don’t want him to speak to media about his predicament.

”I have spent over one billion shilling on lawyers and etc, but nothing yields any results” ”The mafias want me inside here for a reason i dont know” he says

In a bid to get justice, he contacted the Swedish prosecutor to find out if indeed he had a case to answer there, at least let him be extracted to Sweden other than rotting in Dubai jail.

Sweden officials told him they have no extradition treaty with UAE and therefore there was no way they could have instructed Dubai Police to arrest him. This goes ahead to confirm the people behind his arrest were fellow Ugandans back home.

The question is; Why do they want him in jail? No body knows.

Last week SK sought for justice through the international human rights movement.

According to the international human right treety, When domestic legal proceedings fail to address human rights abuses, mechanisms and procedures for individual complaints, the international Human rights movement comes in. However, it is not clear whether UAE subscribe to that teeety.

While SK’s source of wealth is unknown but it is common for Ugandans to develop envy towards fellow Ugandans’ success.

Another example to prove this was last night when Socialite Zari was almost denied entry into the UK. A fellow Ugandan who learnt of her visit sent a copy of her flier to the immigration and told them Zari is coming to UK to work. It took her 9hrs of explanation to be cleared and whatever happened during those 9hrs was communicated direct to social media meaning someone was behind this.
