Missing teenager found in a sketch house

A 17-year old girl who went missing on 14th February, 2020 in Kampala has been found in a sketch house in Muyenga. Mellisa Kayanja Nakyomu was kidnapped by a white man who she met online after convincing her to meet at his place.

He drugged her and took her phone to cut off communication. Three people, including the Muzungu, have been arrested and are in detention at Kabalagala. Mellisa is recovering from intoxication.

Melisa’s mother, Lilian Katumba on 16th February, 2020 posted on facebook; requesting whoever could have seen her to report at a nearest police station or on mobile phone numbers provided.

“My daughter Mellisa Kayanja 17yrs is missing and it has been 48 hours of search but in vain she was last seen on 14th/02/2020. Lives@Mpelerwe. Reported missing @ kanyanya police station contact 0781490420/0776555756.
Please if you happen to see her any where. please call any of those numbers or take her to a nearest police station,” Katumba’s post stated.

However, there are other versions of Melisa’s ordeal.  Having disappeared on the day when lovers went wild and mad because of someone they are not sure of his motives; who they claim is St. Valentine, Melisa is believed to have fallen into this confusion.

The Valentine madness is believed to have taken tall of Melisa.  She fell into the hands of perverts who engaged her in consumption of substances and a cocktail of booze, which left her in a stupor and at the mercy of the perverts. The cohorts of Mzungu reportedly took advantage of the teenager-Melisa; who had been floored by booze and weed. A police officer at Kabalagala, who did not want to be named, said that the Mzungu and his cohorts intended to initiate the teenager into their perversion.  This ill behaviour, the officer explained, cannot be joined willingly or in sober state. Otherwise, you will refuse straightaway.
