No big politician behind Middle East Consultants

There is no big politician behind the labour exporting company known as Middle East Consultants. One of the commissioners in the Ministry of Labour, Gender and Social Develop0ment, told The Drone Media that Middle East Consultants, is owned by ordinary Ugandans who may be using that blackmail trick to fraudulently gain popularity and political capital plus other benefits.
The commission assured The Drone Media that Middle East Consultants has been suspended several times due to various reasons that erase terms of regulations and rules governing labour export. “Otherwise,” he said, ‘no big politician behind it.’
In short, Middle East Consultants, is well known for cheating Ugandans; it is not new in the Ministry of Labour, Gender and Social Development. They always hide behind propaganda, no big politician!
The commissioner laughed at Middle East Consultants directors, saying that if he were them he would look at the mistakes cited by the media/journalists, and improve on them instead of using blackmail and illegal means.
The workers Eye Magazine, last year, published a story that someone had sued Middle East Consultants over extortion and related issues. That was one of its kind, The Drone Media carried out an investigation and found out that the company was defrauding Uganda’s job seekers.
It started with Medical Professionals that the company directors alleged they were taking to Libya, but they never did. Early this year it announced 800 jobs in China and these were teachers, but up to now the victims have never seen any of the contracts, they only see Chinese who are working on the road constructions and those who trade in Kikubo.
Recently, they brought another lie that they are taking people to Canada. The interviews were held on 24th May 2019 and money collected, but nobody asked for contracts and the ministry has not explained.
The commissioner who talked to The Drone Media assured Ugandans that whoever is cheated should always find time and report or contact authorities to help them. However, most of the authorities, say police, have been compromised.
