Olaxess Isma Released on Bail as Kayz Remains

The president of Uganda bloggers Ibrahim Tusubira alias Isma Olaxess was today granted a non cash bail of sh10m at Buganda Road Magistrate Court.

The blogger had been arrested yesterday following complaints by Omulangira Ssuna that Olaxess had been slandering his name.

Isma and three television presenters working for Next Media Services; Isaac Kawalya Ssemulondo alias Kays, Bryan Kennedy Waako and Williams Makuliro are accused of repeatedly attacking an artiste Mr Emmanual Ssuuna alias Omulangira Ssuuna on television.

According to the charges, the accused committed the crime on August 27, 2021 while at Sanyuka Television, Next Media Services Ltd in Kampala City.

It is alleged that they talked about Mr Ssuuna’s family, his financial status and accused him of being tormented by evil spirits.

Speaking at the Buganda Road Magistrate court, Hon. Mohammad Nsereko Isma’s lawyer asked Tv presenters and musicians to work hand in hand because they all in need each other.

“Constantly being in court for such issues is not going to help both the artists and the presenters in their industry. However we are happy that our client has been granted bail today,” Hon. Nsereko told the press.

However, Kayz, Wakko and Makko remain in Kitalaya until their next hearing on 15th October.

Ibrahim Tusubira aka Isma Olaxess aka Jajja Iculi was detained yesterday and will be paraded in court today.

According to NBS TV gossip monger, Kayz, Jajja Iculi spent the whole the day being interrogated at CID offices in Kibuli and was later detained. Kayz says the motor-mouthed blogger will be paraded in court today on charges of inciting violence.

After a full day of interrogation at CID kibuli, NRM blogger Isma Olaxess alias jaja ichuli has been detained and will appear before court tomorrow on charges of inciting violence.
