Who is the richest Pakistani in the world?

After seeing this question, we googled ‘the richest pakistani’ out of curiosity and got the following result.

A mustachioed guy named Shahid Khan is listed as the richest Pakistani with a net worth of $7.9 billion. But since he is an American citizen and lives in the United States, we guess he doesn’t really count.

The second richest Pakistani is a balding man named Mian Muhammad Mansha with a net worth of $2.7 billion. He is the founder and CEO of the Lahore-based international conglomerate Nishat Group, which owns banks, cement factories, power generation companies, automobile companies and textile companies. Mansha is the highest tax payer in Pakistan. Since he is a Pakistani citizen and lives in Lahore (Pakistan), he is the true richest man in Pakistan.

Mian Muhammad Mansha is a Pakistani business magnate and billionaire. He is the founder and CEO of the Lahore-based international conglomerate Nishat Group. Mansha and some of his immediate family members are among the richest and highest tax-paying individuals in Pakistan.

Mian Mohammad Mansha is a leading businessman of Pakistan and Chairman of the Nishat Group of companies, which holds major business interests in the textile, cement, financial services, power generation, real estate and hospitality, dairy and agriculture, paper products, retail commerce, aviation and automotive sectors

We were surprised to see Asif Ali Zardari in the list. While I had never heard of the two guys mentioned above, Zardari is a familiar name. This man was the President of Pakistan from 2008 to 2013 – thanks to the public sympathy he received after the assassination of his wife Benazir Bhutto. Zardari is the third richest man in Pakistan with a net worth of $1.8 billion. A question cropped up in my mind. How much of his massive wealth is corruption money?
