Front officer at Buganda Road Court is ….

If you have ever gone to Buganda Road Court in Kampala, you must have seen these two offices, one written on Enquiries and another one Cashier.

The Enquiries office at that court is a duplicate of Entebbe Airport saga. The small and tender public servant is very corrupt. Read carefully and pick this story:

Last Monday, January 30th, 2023 Buganda Road Court dismissed the criminal offence against Kareire Pidson and Her Worship Gladdys Kamasanyu declared him free, and also ordered for his bail refund.

Surprisingly, this Front Officer, whose name could not be established, expected to have some percentage on the bail money. I handed the documents that same day on Monday and he told me to go back there on Wednesday.  I went there on Wednesday and he told me to go there on Friday, but I did not go on Friday. I went there on Monday 6th, February, 2023.  This is when I realized the ka-office they needed some money.

The lady who was there showed me the documents and told me the Chief Magistrate had signed, but they needed to be taken to court 2 to Her Worship Gladdys Kamasanyu. Then I asked her what was stopping the documents from going to Court 2? She only signaled and spoke in Tongues, that is when I showed my yellow colours. I told her she was paid by tax payers money to serve them. She went mute until somebody known as Dan  intervened and told me to go back today, Tuesday, February 7, 2023.

Unfortunately, when I reached there today, the male servant who was there was a definition of “Impunity.” He pointed at the documents and started speaking in Tongues. I am not tolerant to nonsense, I told him to do what he is paid to do. This spoilt servant locked the office and went away, saying, “If you wanted help…..other words were being eaten like a goat chewing a cud.

As I looked for the office of Chief Magistrate to report these guys, I met a Clerk to Her Worship Kamasanyu. The amiable Clerk stopped me from where I was going and looked for court file, which he used to type a discharge order, a bail refund order and bail refund application.

However, the front officers detained my original documents, claiming that Court 2 was in progress. I went and sat in court 2, While Her Worship Gladdys Kamasanyu was presiding over cases, she saw me and asked, ” Pidson your case was dismissed. What are you here for?” I replied, ” I waiting for you to sign on my bail refund papers.” She said, “where are they? And thereafter sent her Clerk to bring them and be signed,, She rescued from the fangs of a corrupt front officer.

Note: When we had come out of Kitalya Prison, Moses Bigirwa posted on Social Media that small officers at Buganda Road court, ask for money whenever court clients are applying for bail. Her Worship told us that whenever there is a complaint should be taken direct to their offices. Now, access to such offices is a problem, work on your staff.
