SFC soldier shoots man at a Kitunzi bar

Last night (Wednesday) July 14, 2021 in Kitunzi at about 8:00pm a man was reportedly shot thrice in the neck, mouth and shoulder after a bar brawl at Lungujjah, next to Sampro Hotel.

Eye witnesses told The Drone Media that the deceased, who has been identified as a one Majiidu Mugwanya, 43, a resident of Kibumbiro B Zone, Busega Parish, Rubaga Division in Kampala City; had just driven off from Sampro Hotel, where he normally attends Sauna and steam bath.

Although nobody could commit themselves to their statements; eye witnesses say the fight was over shisha smoking damsels, who had converged at a Kacwampale beer joint next to Sampro Hotel in Kitunzi.  The deceased reportedly branched off to the Kacwample beer joint owned by a one Patience, who is a staff of Shell Fuelling Station-Mengo Branch; but immediately started caressing the shisha smoking damsel. That was the immediate cause of the bar brawl.

when contacted by media for a detailed report on the bar brawl, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy spokesperson ASP Luke Owoyesigire confirmed the tragedy saying the deceased “could have been shot as a result of an argument at a bar joint belonging to one Patience who has since been arrested to help police with the investigations.”

“She is also likely to be charged for operating a bar something that is against Covid-19 guidelines issued by the ministry of health.”

Detectives have recovered two pistol cartridges found at the scene and items from the deceased’s car as part of exhibits as investigations proceed to identify the suspect. However, info gathered from people indicate that the deceased was known as Majid. He used to carry money for a rich man in town, but decided to abandon the business. Unfortunately, the rich man did not feel good when Majid left, he hired the ungodly soldier who finished him.
