THREE SECURITY GUARDS ARRESTED OVER THEFT OF ARUA REGIONAL. REFERRAL HOSPITAL AMBULANCE

PRO, West Nile SP Angucia Josephine says  police has arrested 3 security guards of Arua Refferal Hospital in connection with the theft of Hospital Ambulance-UG 6821M.

The arrest of the three (names withheld) follows a case of motor vehicle theft, reported by the Hospital head of security-Avaga Johnston Norman at Arua Central Police Station.

The three suspects were on duty on the incident night on March 27, 2021. They are currently helping the Police with investigations.

We appeal to the wider public to share any information that could lead to the recovery of the ambulance.

It is alleged the ambulance, a motor vehicle, Land Cruiser registration number UG 6812M went missing from the hospital parking yard on the night of March, 27, 2021.

The case was reported to police on Monday, March 29 at around 11:30am by Johnstone Avaga Norman, 35, a resident of the hospital staff quarters and head of security at Arua Regional Referral hospital.

“Police acted immediately by opening a case file of Stealing Motor vehicle under Arua CRB 305/2021, relevant statements were obtained from the hospital, scene of crime visited and documented, 3 night security guards who were on duty in the fateful nights were arrested to assist police with investigations and their names yet concealed inorder not to jeopardize investigations,” said SP Josephine Angucia, PRO West Nile.
